THE EAST AFRICAN
WILDLIFE SOCIETY

Why join the Society?

East Africa’s magnificent wildlife and wild habitats now face more threats than ever before. The Society’s powers to intervene are determined by its members, its primary source of funding. Your support will :

Help identify and address public conservation issues. Since the 1980’s, the Society has drawn global attention to poaching of endangered species in our region.

Maintain the Society’s vigorous campaign for a retention of the international ivory trade ban in force since 1989.

Help fund new research centres, build fire breaks an establish wildlife sanctuaries such as the Rhino Sanctuaries in the Aberdares and at Ngulia in Tsavo West.

Help train young East Africans to play an active role conservation.
